Luxury Resorts

Relax and unwind at some of the best luxury resorts worldwide

Our experience of luxury resorts and hotels is extensive, with recent stays including the breathtaking Shangri-La in Singapore, the simply sensational Rome Cavalieri and London’s iconic Marriott County Hall. Whilst some like their travels to be more fast paced, there is a special enjoyment to be had in sitting on the terrace of a beautiful hotel watching the world go by with a nice cold drink in hand.

The beauty of luxury resorts and hotels is that you have a wide range of options to choose from, meaning that you can find the accommodation style which suits you perfectly in any destination. The only trouble with this though is that it’s easy to get overwhelmed by all of the choices, so here are a few of our stand out destination recommendations, and feel free to get in touch for recommendations on specific hotels!

Our Favourite Luxury Resort Destinations

Maldives

One of the world’s most famous destinations for ultimate relaxation, the Maldives offer those classic crystal clear seas, white sand beaches and plenty of stunning all inclusive, luxury resorts. Whilst overwater bungalows are a popular option, there are a number of beach villas which provide a lovely secluded feel

St Lucia

A wonderfully diverse island nation, St Lucia has so much to give whether it be volcanic beaches, reef-diving adventures, gorgeous resorts or quaint fishing villages. The fairytale scenery provides a beautiful backdrop for relaxation, and means you’ll come home with plenty of incredible memories

Croatia

Beautiful blue waters and white sandy beaches have become synonymous with Croatia and are well worth experiencing over and over again. One of our favourite thing about Croatian beach towns is they they have retained their authenticity, meaning you can experience the real Croatia in all it’s beauty whilst enjoying the benefits of a luxury resort

Mexico

Becoming more and more popular each year, Mexico is home to some amazing beach resorts such as Playa del Carmen and Cozumel, where you can fully immerse yourself in the holiday vibes. It’s a great option for some year round sun which means you’ll have a greater choice about when to plan your trip

Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is often described as being the perfect introduction to south-east Asia. There’s enough of a culture difference to make you feel like you’re somewhere truly exotic, but it’s still very accessible. The food is fantastic throughout, and the island’s size means you can easily experience both beaches and rainforests in one trip

Bali

If you’re looking for a fully immersive luxury resort experience with some of the most generous, welcoming people on Earth then Bali is the place to be. There are all types of resorts on this cluster of islands but the common theme throughout is the authenticity of the Balinese culture, and this is of course combined with magical scenery

Full board will typically include breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but not snacks or drinks. Guests are usually limited to a set menu or buffet for each meal, and any additional food or drinks are charged separately.

All inclusive on the other hand includes all meals, snacks and drinks, and sometimes additional activities and amenities. Guests can typically choose from a wider range of food and drink options, often including premium brands as well.

Something we really pride ourselves on is the fact that we’re not restricted to working with certain hotel groups, meaning we can access stays at any hotel around the world, and provide our honest opinions at all times.

One luxury brand which always stands out to us is Hilton’s Waldorf Astoria brand because they have an exceptional appreciation for the guest’s requirements and nothing gets in the way of providing an unbelievable experience.

Another brand which has found it’s way into our hearts recently is Marriott’s Autograph Collection, a worldwide portfolio of luxury hotels which champions the heritage behind each of the buildings they occupy and embraces the cultural uniqueness of each destination, therefore providing the classic Marriott service with a distinctive local experience.

The biggest factor to consider when choosing between chain and boutique hotels is your own personal preference. The two categories can be very different, and your expectations from a stay may dictate which one would be more suitable for you.

Worldwide brands of course have established reputations and are able to provide a level of consistency across their hotels, so it’s much easier to anticipate the quality and service you will be greeted with on arrival. Their global reach means that they are often larger hotels with a wide range of facilities, and partnerships with renowned restauranteurs and wellness providers.

Boutique hotels on the other hand offer a more personalised, culturally authentic experience for their guests, often with unique design features and a real charm about them. Local influence features heavily in boutique hotels, and this means that you sometimes get a better sense of a destination and the staff are very well placed to recommend things to do or restaurants to eat at.

The iconic Burj Al Arab towers above the Dubai coastline, and is claimed by many to be the world’s only 7 star hotel and whilst it’s official ranking is Five Star Deluxe, the highest possible official ranking, it’s easy to see why people think it deserves to stand alone above the competition, thanks in no small part to it’s unrivalled opulence

The sail-inspired architectural masterpiece of Burj Al Arab immediately captures your attention, with its dazzling white facade during the day and vibrant multi-coloured lights at night. If you’re fortunate enough to arrive by helicopter, you’ll be treated to the very best vantage point from which to appreciate the hotel’s true grandeur

Inside you’ll find duplex suites adorned with opulent gold, silk and marble accents, spiral staircases and floor-to-ceiling windows offering breathtaking views of the Arabian Gulf. Walking into the atrium is an experience in itself as you’re greeted by a welcoming lounge area and magnificent interior cavity which soars 180m into the air, a world record for the tallest atrium space

With a plethora of on-site amenities, there’s really no need to leave the hotel, but if you do decide to venture out, there is a fleet of Rolls Royce cars at your service, ready to take you into the heart of Dubai. Boasting nine exceptional on-site restaurants, five swimming pools and a private beach, you’ll be sure to have the most incredible stay at what is widely regarded as the best luxury hotel in the world
